Every change in your lists is updated in realtime and when you decide to log in you will even be able to restore all your lists on another phone, isnt that something.For this app a login is not required, however recommended since otherwise lists cannot be restored.If not all your listst contents are banana related the app should still function properly (hopefully :P).
